Welcome to Samata Yoga Australia. Swami's Autumn/Winter Message: After a very eventful summer in Australia we are entering a period of inner reflection in the Christian calendar. The period of lent a time when Christians quietly reflect on life and life’s path. It becomes a time for letting go of old habits and disciplines so that we can enter the period after Easter Sunday refreshed and ready for rebirth in every sense of the word. Here in the southern hemisphere it is a little different we are not entering the seasons of spring and summer but that of autumn and winter. But for us it can also be a very busy time especially as we at Samata Samashti Dharma are experiencing our year of “Inner Truth Outer Harmony”. We have experienced three months of the year and during that time many experiences some were surprising and sometimes we looked at ourselves very differently as inner truths were revealed. I would like you now at this season of inner contemplation to think of DHARMA. Dharma translated means “Code of Conduct” it is derived from the words dha - that which is worn by me and ma – mine, as clothes express who we are and maintain the dignity of those who wear them so dharma is the measure of the inner dignity and nature of the person concerned. Dharma teaches us to be true to ourselves without being judgmental to others or forcing our ideas and beliefs on others. It teaches us to be true to ourselves to live the life true to the Karma we were born into and born to overcome. Your journey is yours alone wear it in Truth and Harmony so that when our seasons of rebirth arrive in a few months time you will be ready. Remember Dharma is the truth that is not modified by time, space or causation therefore discovering personal dharma, finding yourself and living your truth brings you closer to Self Realisation.
